This is just beautiful - my heart sank when I read that it's yet another add-on which lives in the status bar, but as its icon is a mere ellipsis ('…') it's practically invisible, and works perfectly, giving instant feedback (unlike addons which require a click) which is unobtrusive (unlike addons which provide results in a dialog box). I only wish this would be extended to do word counts in the same way, too - pretty please?

It's been noted (only once as far as I can tell) that this extension works only partially when using a UK keyboard layout. Would love to see a fix.

Please consider users with small screens: it would only take shifts of a few pixels to make the UI and documentation of this addon fit within a space 800 by 600 pixels. It's mad that such a simple extension is so screen-hungry.
