A lightweight Thunderbird add-on that allows you to add private comments to emails. These comments are stored as "Unsent Replies" directly within the same folder as the original message, ensuring your notes sync across all your devices.
This way we get private, searchable, and syncable comments.
- It initiates a Reply to the selected message;
- It automatically prefixes the subject with [Comment] (configurable);
- It clears all recipients (To/CC/BCC) to prevent accidental sending;
- Once you save the draft, the add-on moves it from the Drafts folder to the original message's folder and marks it as read and, optionally tags the message.
This way we get private, searchable, and syncable comments.
