Thank you. This is very useful. I wish there was an extension to turn off ALL the Firefox keyboard shortcuts and enable only the ones we actually want. F11 is the only one I would want to keep. The others are just landmines to surprise you when you drop a book on the keyboard or a cat walks across it.

Cool! For me this was the last piece of the puzzle to getting a good UI again after the Australis mess. If I could have selected to add only the "close active tab" to the context menu without the other 2 entries it would be perfect.

That's a setting in about:config. Change "browser.tabs.closeButtons" to "1" should get you close buttons on each tab.

Thanks for your answer. Australis has made the customise toolbars dialogue almost useless for me. A gazillion little pictures to guess about the meaning of. And just to make the game more challenging the pictures are all very, very pale grayish pastels on a light gray background. There is this really neat technology that has the potential to dramatically improve the usability of UIs. I hope the Mozilla folks will think about trying it although it may be kind of radical for them - it's called text. Not your doing of course. I searched and searched for your off button and I think I found it - an itty bitty x maybe? I dragged it toward the bar and it dissapeared about halfway there never to be seen again. But I installed Exit Button and that seems to serve the same purpose and makes a pretty good combo with this.

OK, I give up. How do you do that? I can't find anyting like a setting.
