Where does firefox give the option to block or keep a domains cookies through a popup, I know you can write down every domain you want blocked in firefox prefs But who wants to keep having to do that when you could have option to block through a popup while surfing .
Your cookie manager before 1.8.5 gave that kind of option.
The best Browser that ever gave the option & power to choose what cookies to keep & block individual or group cookies etc.. on a site by site bases through a popup was KDE3 Konqueror (I think KDE4 Konqueror does nearly the same not sure) .
I used to think that what ever cookie manager gave power like Konqueror gave to people would have a edge over other Managers.
I had searched for ages for an addon in either chrome or firefox that gives the power that Konqueror gave & yours was the only one that at least gave something similar though not as powerful.
Have a google at how many people were annoyed years ago when FireFox removed the option to block through a popup like you removed recently .
Like my previous reply, nothing was removed. It is CK 1.9.0 which introduce the possibility to change the current website permissions with the toolbar popup.
Here a screen-shot of the CK 1.8.5 popup: http://bayimg.com/faiDLaAGi
Look at the screen-shots for 1.9.0 here on addons.moz.
So I don't know what's is going on with your installation, but no, nothing was removed.
Maybe you are talking of the CookieKeeper preference window. If it is this option, it's still available. Click on the icon which represent a gear on top right of the panel.
