This addon does *not* work offline. Saying it does is a lie.

You can only say the newsreader is truly offline if it is able to cache and display the feed in the exact manner in which it would be seen online, without being connected to the internet.

Trying to use this extension offline only displays text with huge gaps where the images are meant to be. Don't waste your time if you are seeking an offline reader.

Search for 'filtered web page' on newsfox.mozdev.org. If you weren't so snide, I wouldn't make you RTFM.
