It really needs an option to configure tool-tip delay.
Also the favicon could be showed based on domain name match and not by exact url match.

Tooltip Plus is a great little add-on that does what it says... and thanks to it and Fission, I have eliminated my status bar and freed up some much needed screen space (I hide my menu bar too, which can be shown again by pressing ALT).

It appears that favicons aren't showing up, although this isn't a problem for me because I would/did disable the option to show favicons and document icons.

And it's a Pity Tooltip Plus doesn't show the cleaned link that Redirect Remover displays in the status bar when hovering a cleaned link (it comes up as RDR: and the cleaned link). Install Redirect Remover and you'll know what I'm on about.

All in all Tooltip Plus delivers but could probably do with an update to accommodate the issues brought up by myself and others.

It's a very good addon, but the only bad thing is it cannot show the favicon and I've tried on several pcs and notebooks already. They are using the latest fx 3.6.x on xp sp2 / sp3

Musthave for Firefox, because I don't need that useless bottom bar as many others. Waited more than year for this!

Just perfect: knowing the URI/URL was the only real reason to always show the statusbar. THX!

It's nice, but I find the Windows version lacking because the text is too small and grey in colour, which makes it hard to read.

I like "Smaller Tooltip" better as it shows the tooltip in normal size and black. But I miss having the little icon, and having the Alt-text bold.

In "Smaller Tooltip" both the alt-text and the URL are of the same formatting, which I feel makes it ugly. But Tooltip Plus is also ugly because it has a box-in-a-box for some tooltips, and the tooltips are big with unnecessary padding.

Thanks so much, this is exactly what I have been looking for since I took off my status bar. The tooltip is unobtrusive and just the right size.

Error I previously noted was fixed, thanks. Support methods were also added at some point. I still have some issues with icons here on Linux, though.

Simple and useful idea. I've been looking for something to do this for a while now, so thanks for creating an updated version of this concept.
