I've tried this on three emails so far - the first one said that the sender had encoded it to defeat the reader. On the second one it would only read the subject, not the body. On the third one, it started out promising, but stopped halfway through the body. I have used ReadAloud on Firefox quire successfully, but it seems it's not really compatible with Thunderbird.
