The freeze occurred after update to 5.11, and prior updates. There are no freezes during normal operation (no updates).
Is there better way to report problems?

When you report an issue like this, it is important to know which version of Thunderbird you are running. Thunderbird 102 made a change to servernames that can potentially invalidate all tabs in QF and it tries to repair these based on the previously stored account. Apart from that, 5.11 actually does a lot _less_ then the previous versions so it should run quite a bit faster than 5.10.3 especially on Thunderbird 102.

Nice addon. However, recent updates will freeze Thunderbird when a new tab appears with a change log and donation requests. Must terminate Tbird via task manager.

thank you for your feedback! If you are running Thunderbird , 102, please try version 5.11 it addresses a lot of the performance issues that were recently introduced. Generally Thunderbird does take quite a longer when we have many folders in the tree, so there will be more scope for improvement. Especially starting Thunderbird and installing a new version of the Add-on can lead to some unique delays that may coincidentally make it seem the history is slowing things down - but it is actually the initialization of the folder tree, which is currently a little inefficient in Tb102.
