Shows the spam score your mail server already assigned, with a colour-coded column and a rule-by-rule breakdown. Reads SpamAssassin, rspamd, MailScanner, hMailServer, Stalwart, Fastmail, OVH, Sophos PureMessage and GMX.

Spam Scores shows the spam score your mail server has already assigned to a message. The add-on does not classify mail itself; it reads the spam and ham headers written by common filters and shows the total score with a colour-coded icon in a message-list column. Clicking the button on an open message opens a popup that breaks the score down rule by rule.
Supported filters: SpamAssassin, rspamd, MailScanner, hMailServer, Stalwart, Fastmail, OVH (Vade Secure), Sophos PureMessage and GMX. If a message carries none of these headers, there is nothing to show.
Different filters use very different scales: SpamAssassin and rspamd count in small points, OVH runs into the hundreds, and Sophos reports a percentage. Spam Scores keeps the raw value each filter reported and classifies the icon on that filter's own scale, so a low OVH or Sophos score is not mistaken for spam. On the SpamAssassin scale the defaults are: a red icon above 2, amber between -2 and 2, and green below -2. These ranges can be adjusted per scale in the add-on settings.
The columns (a Spam icon and the Spam score) appear automatically in folders you have not customised. If a column stays empty, restart Thunderbird once, then right-click the folder and choose "Properties" and "Repair Folder". This re-reads the headers of the mails already in that folder. New mail is picked up automatically.
For custom MailScanner headers such as "X-MYCOMPANY-MailScanner-SpamCheck", open one affected message once before you restart and repair, otherwise those mails will not fill the column.
In the settings you can also adjust the icon ranges per scale, hide the icon and score for whole ranges (for example to flag only actual spam), and reorder the headers that are used.
