I think we should all settle down, yes from a user point of view removal not having gmail integration is frustrating, but I suspect from a developer's viewpoint having Thunderbird be upgraded and find your add-on left adrift, requiring ? hours of work to rectify, equally annoying. While I don't really know, isn't some/alot of this development work done by people like you & me? Does he/she really deserve to be slagged off.
