Any chance you could make it possible to add the conversation-view button to the Mail toolbar - at the top, rather than on the email header? I like and use CompactHeader, but I have switched off all buttons in the header, as I don't like them there (anymore).

This has been fixed in newer versions :), you can now add a button to the mail toolbar OR the message header toolbar depending on what your prefer.
