When I came across Excel2Mail in November 2025, I was very enthusiastic about it. But now, after the last update, it has unfortunately become completely useless: Instead of only showing those lines in Excel tables which are supposed to be visible (and are visible in print), ALL lines are shown and the layout is devastated. Very sad development! I must go back to my old workaround and first paste into Calc and then take it from there into Thunderbird so the layout is preserved.

Question: Which version of Thunderbird?
Answer:
140.6.0esr (64-Bit) with Win11
Issue: not-visible Excel lines are visible

115.18.0(64-Bit) wth Win7
Issue: Excl2mail does not show the layout any more (you could say: doesn't work) - but it did with an earlier version.

New Excel2Mail: For Win11 the issue is solved, thanks a lot. For Win7, I have not yet had the time to test.

Großartig! Funktioniert mit ctrl-q (statt ctrl-v) und ermöglicht das Einfügen von Excel-Tabellenteilen mit einwandfreier Formatierung (als wäre Calc die Quelle gewesen)! Habe lange nach dieser Lösung gesucht!
