Download YouTube Videos as MP4
Assegnate 3 su 5 stelle
I get nothing with this add-on, so it's not possible to try it. It's in the Firefox Add-ons manager, but the icon that's supposed to appear in YouTube video pages next to the videos doesn't appear and I carefully looked beneath, above and on both sides of the video I provided a link for. Also, there're no error or other kinds of messages during or after installing your add-on.
DownloadHelper is now working, after someone replied to my comment and provided a link for upgrading to DownloadHelper 5 alpha. So this solves my problem; but, if your add-on worked for me, then I'd give it a try.
Download YouTube Videos as MP4

Doesn't work with Firefox 36.0 installed this morning and the same is true with DownloadHelper by mig. I'm using 32-bit Windows XP SP3 and have been using DownloadHelper for years, but since it isn't working for Ffx 36.0, I checked for alternatives and downloaded Download YouTube Videos as MP4.
The video I'm trying to download is the following:

Another downloader add-on that's not working is DownloadThemAll.

Project's dead?
KaaMoS posted on May 22nd asking if this Firefox extension project has died and also said that the project's website was dead.
The website is presently "alive". I used the link provided in the download page here and the website loads just fine. The four main pages in it are all accessible and everything seems to be working there.
I haven't tried this add-on so can't comment on it, but will give a 4-star rating since that's the average with 241 user reviews that've been posted so far. It would be unethical to give less and I can't say 5 since I haven't tried this extension. So I'll give 4.
This add-on is also the second of three recommendations in a how-to article at CNET.com.
"How to download videos from YouTube, Vimeo, and more"

I won't provide the url since that might not be accepted in comments here. People reading this and wanting to read the above article can use Google for a site-specific search of CNET, f.e.
Flashget and DownloadHelper are two Firefox add-ons that I have installed and they're useful, but I never do large downloads using the Web browser, because if it crashes or hangs while a download is executing, then I have to restart the browser (when the situation is a hang), and the download will have to be restarted from scratch. So I only use Flashget to redirect downloads to an external application that's only for downloads and the ones I have installed are all much faster than downloads with Firefox. But I'll install and try out the NetVideoHunter add-on. It probably doesn't allow automatic redirection of downloads to a separate application, but maybe it's better than DownloadHelper, and maybe it will work at some websites where these other two add-ons don't.
One immediately appealing feature of NetVideoHunter is that it permits downloading videos in different quality formats when there's more than one available. I don't think the other two add-ons mentioned above provide this functionality, or if they do, they don't prompt the user to make the selection. For that reason, I assume that they don't provide this and it's a great option to have. We may want normal quality, possibly even less when a video file is actually just audio with an image that doesn't change. And we can want highest or next-to-highest quality available.
For that reason alone it'll now be installed. Actually, for that reason and also because this add-on has received plenty of good reviews, as well as having been evaluated by the Mozilla or Firefox developer or QA team.
It must surely deserve at least 4-star ratings.
Certificate Patrol
Assegnate 3 su 5 stelle
Google certificates are changing every few minutes, if not less, so I'm repeatedly bombarbared with Google certificate approvals. "So what" if the prior ones become outdated. It's a damn annoyance to be prompted every FEW minutes for approving updates to the certificates.
What's the solution, to disable Certificate Patrol, or something else? I'll totally disable and possibly uninstall it, unless a helpful reply is provided, for I'm not going to put up with these continuous prompts for approviiing, or not, Google certs.
Session Manager
Assegnate 5 su 5 stelle
Tab Mix Plus provides a Session Manager that permits saving all Ffx windows that are opened for or in a particular Ffx user profile, as well as for saving only the tabs of an active Ffx window. TMP also provides a menu for opening closed tabs; and much more.
BUT, and as far as I'm aware for now, TMP's SM doesn't permit saving and accumulating more than two session files. Maybe it does and to cause it to do this requires using the SM menu in the Ffx Tools menu, instead of only saving to save a session when Ffx is being closed. While I've been using TMP's session saver instead of Ffx's since having installed TMP, I've only been doing session saves when closing down Ffx. That doesn't permit having more than two sessions saved and if I'm not mistaken, then there are only two to choose from when there's been a Ffx crash. Perhaps using TMP's SM in the Tools menu does permit saving more session files for the user to be able to select from more than only two when starting up Ffx, but I'll have to try this out to find out.
Re. Ffx crashes:
Restoring sessions from crashed Ffx sessions has been no problem for me ever since I switched from Ffx 2.20 to 3.3.
Conclusion:
Based on the images provided in the install page for your Session Manager add-on, it looks very interesting and a must to try it. So I just installed it and will check it out.
Some of the images show that your add-on permit saving and accumulating as many sessions and windows as a user wishes and this is a feature that will be very useful to me. It's been often frustrating to be lacking this feature.
Great idea you had with this add-on and I see MOSTLY high ratings for it from users here. It's clearly a MUST TRY.
Because I haven't yet restarted Ffx and it'll take some days before I can give an actual rating, but MOST users have already given 5 of 5 stars, I'll give it 5 for now and will later lower this if there's cause for me to do so.

Ooops, made my comment for the incorrect add-on. This one seems to do what I wanted.

If my prior post isn't deleted by the moderator of addons.mozilla.org, then I'll leave this note to say that the comment was posted for the incorrect add-on. The comment was only another add-on that stops only Youtube videos from automatically playing. I realised this due to reading other comments after reloading the Reviews page for this add-on, and since this one stops other flash media players, then this is the kind of add-on I was looking for and will install it now.
