This is the only option for Finnish proofing / spelling check for Firefox browsers that must have WebExtension addons (and not legacy add-ons).

Unfortunately, due to the way the WebExtension API is defined, it is **impossible** to properly proof and spell-check Finnish language, as it is inflection based. It cannot be properly proofed using static dictionaries, like English can.

As such, this add-on, which is based on static dictionaries and not full fledged inflection engine, is as good as it is going to get for Firefox.

So, those looking for Voikko based proper Finnish language proofing (inflection based) AddOn for Firefox WebExtension -- it is not coming (as per the developers of Voikko and the developers of the Firefox Finnish Spelling Addon).

I think it's time to move to alternative browser. At least Microsoft Edge has full spelling support unlike Firefox and it now has also Ublock origin extension available.
