(Updated November 2019: For Thunderbird 60 and later versions, a compatible build of this add-on is not available, and it is unlikely that there will be one: sorry about that.
Since Thunderbird 68.* it's possible to change the user interface language directly from the main preferences pane of the application, without the help of any add-on.)

It exposes the hidden preferences that define the preferred language for the user interface of the application. It allows you to change quickly the preferred language among all those available languages, either the one shipped with the application or others provided by language packs.
The screenshots give a general exposition of the tools and options supported by the extension. Note that the provided toolbar button must be added manually from the toolbar palette to be accessible.
If you have arrived to this page searching how to change the interface language once and for all, the recommended procedure is to download and reinstall the entire application already translated to your language.
