Thunderbird auf 136.x updaten. Das wäre allerdings schön ,wenn so was auch kommuniziert würde!

After auto-update in Thunderbird 128.8.1esr all calendars did not work. The Google Oauth2 password pop-up gave an error "The browser you're using doesn't support JavaScript, or has JavaScript turned off..."
I could resolve this by switching the advanced setting "javascript.enabled" from false to true, and after re-activating the calendars I could swith it off again with no further issues so long.
So it works fine for me again - thanks a lot to Philipp!

I confirm it work for version 136.0.1 but have to be reinstalled manually.

Jetzt habe ich gestern eine ältere Version installiert.
Klammheimlich wurde die aber deinstalliert.
Wie geht denn so etwas?

Used PAda* review below - extra step I needed to get it to work was to clear the cache in Troubleshooting mode to force Oauth re-authorisation. Good luck everyone. 4 Stars because the process to get it to work again should have been made more obvious!

Works again with Thunderbird 136.0.1. I confirm you have to download this version manually. The Google provider may disappear from your Thunderbird after this update. I had to reinstall the addon. Now it works again for five stars.

Seit Version 128.5.2 werden Tasks und andere Kalender nicht mehr synchronisiert. Bitte Fehler dringend beheben.
Bislang war das Addon hervorragend.

Funktioniert wieder einwandfrei nach Neuinstalation von Thunderbird. Habe vorher alle Einstellungen (Mailkonten, Schlagwörter etc.) über Menu-Werkzeuge-Exportieren gesichtert und anschließend über Importieren wieder hergestellt.

With last version 128.5.2 update, I can't update or save any new tasks in my calendar. I had to remove the extension and to add my google calendar straight from Thunderbird (Calendar -> New Calendar). Time to dismiss this extension who I've been using for years.

Very good add-on, which recently stopped working with Google because Thunderbird removed the connection with Google. You should download a new version of Thunderird Thunderbird 136.0.1 from the website, after which you may need to re-set your Google account in the calendar (Calendar in Thunderbird / New Calendar / Google Calendar - log in). After that you can use the "Provider for Google Calendar" program again.

Auch nach dem heutigen Update lassen sich die Erinnerungsfenster nicht schließen und keine neuen Termine im Google-Kalender eintragen.
Ein paar Tage kann ich mir das noch ansehen, dann werde ich Thunderbird verlassen müssen.

Même remarque que HPG. Depuis la 128.5.1 la synchronisation ne fonctionne plus et je ne peux pas sélectionner Google Agenda lors de la création ou de la modification d'un nouvel élément.
La 128.5.2 ne règle pas le problème même après un redémarrage
A noter que l'abonnement à l'agenda Google direct de Thunderbird fonctionne. Du coup cette extension n'est plus nécessaire

BIG SECURITY ISSUE
The app module works correctly globally, with some difficulties to follow the google API updates.
The very very bad thing is this APP module requires a full access to thunderbird, that includes the emails, and to the computer, meaning to all our private files !!!!!!
Discovering this big security issue latelly, I decided to remove this App module.

"After the last update, when displaying the reminders window, the buttons in this window do not work, pressing the “Discard” button does nothing, if it is set to mute for x minutes, the time is not displayed either, it does not work, so every time Thunderbird is started it shows all reminders again.
Please, can you correct it?"

The synchronization of the calendars no longer worked. Register again every start. “Provider for Google Calendar” add-on seems to be superfluous - correction?

The new version 128.5.2 seems to work fine, but you might need to restart Thunderbird.

Unfortunately, after yesterday's update, the synchronization of the calendars no longer worked. After I had subscribed to my calendars directly with Thunderbird, they worked again. This means that the “Provider for Google Calendar” add-on is now superfluous. What a pity, really.
To create your own collections, you must have a Mozilla Add-ons account.
