My Reviews

DownThemAll!

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

It'd be nice if it worked properly.

I'm trying to download a 4 GB file from filestube.com and using a free account you can only download 550 MB at a time every 2 hrs. When I started the download for the 2nd 550 MB DownThemAll either starts a 2nd download of it (from scratch) or (this only happened once) it tells me that the file already exists and I can only:

1) Overwrite
2) Skip/Cancel
3) Rename

There's no resume!!

However, I did just figure this out and was able to get it to resume. I copied the link for the 2nd 550 MB and right clicked the 1st 550 MB I downloaded and selected Manage Mirrors and added the link I copied earlier as a 2nd mirror. I the right-clicked the 1st 550 MB and selected resume and it continued where I last left off.

If I'm downloading the exact same file in the same location it should always give me the option of RESUME along with Rename, Cancel/Skip, Overwrite...for some reason it doesn't do that. For this I only give it 3/5 stars.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.0.6.1-signed).

SwitchProxy Tool

Rated 2 out of 5 stars

I always used to use this tool but today I've given up on it. Here's why:

I use squid at home and when I use firefox at work and switch proxy from none to one of the proxies I set it reloads all my pages. I tried turning off Reload Current Page but same thing.

The other problem with this is that when all the pages reload, I'm forced to enter username and password for every tab I had open and I usually have about 40 tabs open. I should only be prompted for the username/password once for every tab I reload manually. That's how this plugin used to work and I was fine with that.

We should be able to configure whether the same proxy credentials should be used for all tabs or just the current tab (per tab).

I've had enough of this and am now looking for another plugin that does the same job.
