I have long been looking for a replacement for the "Close on Escape" add-on that died long ago R.I.P. and this add-on brings back this greatly missed functionality of simply closing an opened mail with a press on the Escape button!

I've been using this great add-on for many years, but sadly it stopped working for me too after the latest update to Thunderbird here in January 2020.
