# 1 ranked UFC middleweight Yoel Romero will now meet former UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold for the UFC interim middleweight title as the new main event for UFC 221. The event will proceed as scheduled on Sunday, February 11 at Perth Arena.

Yoel Romero steps in for Australian and UFC middleweight champion Robert Whittaker, who has recently sustained several significant injuries and ruled medically unable to compete in the championship bout at UFC 221 in Perth, Western Australia.
