Great add-on. Is there a way to start conversations with non-contacts?

Pero ahora sale un mensaje de "Navegador no compatible" no se puede utilizar.
Desinstalado.

After installing and opening a new tab, I get the error saying "Browser not supported", and the URL changes to:
https://web.whatsapp.com/browsers.html?missing=localstorage,sessionstorage
I will update my review once it is fixed!

Using Thunderbird 115 on Ubuntu Jammy. Add-on installed OK but unable to log into WhatsApp. I got a"Browser Unsupported" error message when I tried, which showed a set of icons for suggested alternative browsers.
After an hour it started working properly and let me log in. All looked good but the next time I tried to log in, I got the perpetual spinner. There is clearly something wrong with this add-on at the present time.
I am sorry that you experienced issues with the add-on. Since there are more than 3300 daily users of it, it seems that there is clearly something wrong with your system at the present time. There are several ways to get support, I encourage you to use them to find a solution.

Works great, congrats!!
I'm using this, and another one (telegran web in thunddebird) , Can you create one another for the icloud.com website (please)
Thank you very much for your kind words and using my addons :-D
For your question, I cannot develop an addon for icloud.com currently, but I have an alternative. You may use the "Open Tab" addon by Toshi available here: https://addons.thunderbird.net/thunderbird/addon/open-tab/. Thanks to that, you can right-click any hyperlink and open them in a new Thunderbird tab. I think it is one of the most underrated addons for Thunderbird!

Nice experience. The thing I'm missing is I like to leave voice messages. I notice when I try that using this extension, the webapp tells me that I need to approve it's request to access my mic (and camera) but the button to approve, usually the one that drops down from the url bar never appears so I can't approve the request and so am permission limited from voice / video message sending. Would be nice if I could approve from settings or give approval on primary device but I think this might be beyond what the extension writer is able to do as that might be a whatsapp related security function.
Thanks for the good rating! For your comment about the microphone, in fact Thunderbird does not include the same popup as Firefox to grant permissions to websites. So the request to microphone access is simply not displayed. And it is not something that can be changed from an add-on AFAIK. You may grant permanent access to the microphone by setting the "permissions.default.microphone" to 1 in advanced settings, but I highly discourage you to do it as it bypasses a basic security protection.

Very useful add-on. I had a few problems with the integration of LanguageTool, but they were quickly solved by the man behind this project:

Thank you for the excellent rating, comment, and thank you for reporting this issue on GitLab and helping me to troubleshoot it :-)

I use whatsapp personal and business. Is there a way for us to be able to use both within thunderbird simultaneously? Just like multiple emails are allowed. Its a great add-on
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.3.1).Thanks for the good rating! Regarding your question, I am afraid that it won't be possible to use two WhatsApp accounts simultaneously. It would be possible on Firefox I guess, by using the contextualIdentity API, but this API is not available in Thunderbird. Maybe you may try to create two Thunderbird profiles, one business, one personal?

Very good application. However, I would like to know if that would be possible having the orthographic correction suggestions that corresponds to the thunderbird settings. I have chosen French for my Thunderbird, but the language is not recognized in the Whatsapp module and the proposed corrections are only in english.
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.3.1).Thanks for the good rating and comment :-) For your question, I am not aware of a way to integrate the Thunderbird spell checker into any website. That's also true for Telegram Web in Thunderbird, GCalTab, and for any website browsed with Open Tab. As an alternative, I use LanguageTool and it rocks ;-)

works great for me - 115 no problem.
only the icon on the sidebar looks goofy next the the clean thunderbird UI - is it possible to change that?
Thank you very much for the super rating! For the icon, did you notice that there are 3 available icons (green, light, dark)? You can choose the one you prefer in the add-on preferences.

Great app. I have been using it for months. I just upgraded to TB115 and it does not work any more. Am I the only one having the problem ?
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.3.1).Thanks for the super rating :-) Regarding your question, I have tested the add-on on TB 115 and 116 beta, and they both work on my side. Sometimes, after an upgrade, it is good to reboot your computer as the background script responsible to change the user agent seems temporarily stuck. Someone reported a similar issue on GitLab : https://gitlab.com/florent_tassy/whatsapp-web-in-thunderbird/-/issues/6. I hope this will solve your problem, and if not, please get in touch by mail or GitLab so that we can troubleshoot :-)

Great app, just what i was looking for. One question though, none of the links in my messages work, it just opens a blank page. I then have to stop the addon, and start it again, is there something i can do to fix this behaviour ?
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.3.1).Thank you for the nice comment and rating :-) For your question, I guess the hyperlink opening is managed by Thunderbird settings. You may open the config editor and check the value for browser.link.open_newwindow. Mine is 3, which open hyperlinks in the default browser. You can check out https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1258193. If you have further questions, feel free to reach out to me by email ;-)

Kindly guide on where to find files downloaded by whatsappweb in kde plasma in order to remove them
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.3.1).Thank you for the nice rating! Files downloaded on WhatsApp Web (WAW) go to the folder defined in Thunderbird general settings. If you mean the WAW cache, it is in the Thunderbird profile, directory storage/default/https+++web.whatsapp.com. But it is encrypted.

Good but the link device doesn't work. Might be something to do with dark mode. I had to copy the QR code into paint, remove the dark edges and then it worked.
Other than the above bug, it works nicely for me.
Thank you for the nice review & rating! Regarding linking device, this is weird, it works for me in dark mode. Would you agree to contact me by mail or on GitLab, so we can further investigate?

Nice idea, but the icon in the vertical bar doesn't match the design of the other icons and therefore looks very odd.
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.2.0).Thank you for the nice rating :-)
Regarding spaces toolbar icon, you can simply remove it from add-ons preferences if you prefer. If you do so, you can still open a tab dedicated to WhatsApp by right-clicking on the mail toolbar icon ⇾ Open a WhatsApp Web tab.
Otherwise, please give a try to the new 1.3.0 version, it is now possible to change the icon style from the add-on preferences menu. It won't match your exact Thunderbird style, but should look less odd ;-)

Very convenient! Even though I couldn´t figure out how I can turn on desktop notifications in TB version 102.1, it´s good to have everything in one place.
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.2.0).Thank you very much for the nice rating and feedback! Regarding desktop notifications, yes, they are a bit tricky to activate in Thunderbird. You can have a look here : https://gitlab.com/florent_tassy/whatsapp-web-in-thunderbird#how-do-i-get-rid-of-the-desktop-notification-message-

It works fine! (Using TB v. 91.11.0 an android phone). Initially I gave it 4 stars because I wasn't sure how often I'd use it. But it turns out I use it all the time... so 5 stars!
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.0.0).Thank you for the nice review :-)
