Hello,
there are another addon wich normally add a column, but can't do it with new version 115 of TB ...
They have found a workaround in the waiting time ... ==> They change the display of an existent column !!
==> Why couldn't you do the same ??
This addon is Xnote++
https://addons.thunderbird.net/fr/thunderbird/addon/xnotepp
They add informations to the column "size"
=> You may use the existent column Sender and Recipient to add real email into it ??

Maybe you let the user decide, which column they do not need to add the real sender and / or receipient.

Maybe a good idea for a time being workaround.

We all need this AddOn ;)

We would love to use it again.

Many thanks for your work

As most spam comes with fake sender and recipient names, this extension lets you see the email address in addition to the name. This really helps figuring out what's real and what's spam, and allows for quick sorting by sender or recipient address. I just need it to be TB 3 compatible now... Thanks!

Another simple feature that SHOULD be standard for safety reasons. Since I own my domain I create forwards for every site that requites an email address. This way I can trace the SPAM to the original culprit. Thunderbird only shows the address that the mail has been forwarded to. This shows me who stole it so I can eliminate that SPAM source. Thank you so much!!!

I've had this addon so long I'd forgotten it wasn't built-in. Sorry but I've been around the internet too long I guess. If you can't see the sender's e-mail address until after you open the mail, you can't protect yourself from spam. I don't see how it's possible something so basic has escaped TB's developers for so many years. Without this addon working I'll be downgrading back to TB 2.x .

Please, make it compatible with TB 3.0. Thanks a lot!

I've been using this for a while and love it. Recently upgraded to TB3 and really miss it. Hoping for a TB3 update.

@ Tyler

Thunderbird has it for recipient not sender so the add on is not pointless at all. It is a pity that people rated so bad without getting the facts straight.

I hope the author update it to TB 3

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

This is really quite pointless since Thunderbird already has these columns available to add to the display.

This is a must have add on. I'm kind of puzzled as to why thunderbird doesn't do something this basic and useful already. Any plans for a TBird 3 version?

I haven't tried this version, but the 0.0.5 you can download from the help link :
http://www.moritz-abraham.de/de/programme/show-address.html

Just installed it with thunderbird 2.0.0.22 and so far haven't seen any errors, and it does what it promises, on folders containing several thousand emails. Been looking for this for a while. 5 stars from me!

Great add-on but a long time since an update and continuous javascript error in console -

JavaScript component does not have a method named: "getRowProperties"' when calling method: [nsIMsgCustomColumnHandler::getRowProperties] = NS_ERROR_XPC_JSOBJECT_HAS_NO_FUNCTION_NAMED

Source file: chrome://showaddress/content/showaddress.js Line: 287

Author has not replied to emails sent to him about this

There is a 0.05 version on the forum.
