My Reviews
Advanced Unread Folders
Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Thanks for this extension! I had exactly the same wish: seeing just the unread folders, but with their place in the hierarchy (and most of all: the account to which they belong). It makes filtering messages into folders lots more useful, and catching up with various mailing lists and communities lots easier (almost a game of making all folders disappear).
To add a feature request: a similar (hierarchical) view for folders with starred messages, and/or messages with a particular tag, would be helpful too, to deal with the (often postponed) "need to follow-up" messages... :-)
Colored Diffs
Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I'm using this plugin for some time now, and it really helps to keep up to date with code updates: whether coming in via usenet groups, mailing lists, or by direct email, it's easy to quickly see the commit message and the changes. Or to have a more thorough look to review changes.
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.4).Nostalgy
Rated 4 out of 5 stars
Great to navigate quickly. Don't forget to read the usage directions in the Addons->Options of Nostalgy, I discovered there it can even do more, like: quickly switch focus between the folders, threads and message panes, scroll the message without switching focus away from the threads pane, switch to "cc" and "bcc" in message composition.
Dreams for the future (aka request for featuritis to get the last point and make me go from 9 to 10): incorporate "ThreadKey" and "Maximize Message Pane" functionality, use eg. Shift-G to see only a list of folders with unread mail (and a count?), Esc-V for access to the view box? ;-)
