Was macht den dieses add-on überhaupt?

Can't install. Error -261. I hope they get past this latest failure. It's been shakey and seems neglected with occasional blips of attention from the development team. Jetpack once seemed promising and Mozilla had an interesting contest for applying it to learning & education.

>Firefox can't find the file at chrome://jetpack/content/jetpack.xul#develop.
Ubuntu's firefox-3.5 binary file name is 'Firefox-3.5'. This occurs the error.
To avoid it in a hurry.

Working with FF3.5.5 and JP0.6, I developed an add-on. It worked nicely, but when I installed the add-on, rather than developed it in the about:jetpack tab, it started crashing the browser each time I started it. Only disabling JP0.6 alleviated the problem. 0.6.1 did not fix this issue.
5 stars for the add-on, -1 star for crashing the browser.

This is a very innovative add-on but I am kinda annoyed at the fact that it is completely non functional on linux although it says its supported! And I had to reboot to Windows after months to try this out, however have to admit it was worth the pain. You can completely customize things to your way of browsing the web. Absolutely fascinating!
On Linux, when ever I try to click any of the tabs in about:jetpack I get an error like this,
`Firefox can't find the file at chrome://jetpack/content/jetpack.xul.'
On doing a locate on jetpack.xul I get no results. The file doesn't exist! I hope this gets fixed soon.

I like it!!!!!
How it works:
1. Install Jetpack-addon
2. Visit a website providing you with "plugins", e.g.
https://jetpack.mozillalabs.com/demos.html, or write your own scripts
3. Enjoy!

To Shawn7656> Did you check the version number ? 0.4, which means this is NOT A FINAL VERSION.
Bugs can happen with alpha and beta.

A great extension!

When I use the tutorial feature with the "boom stick" my RAM usage goes up to 100%
I have three gigs of RAM so this DEFINITELY shouldn't happen with something such as this.
As soon as I clicked the window to type the code my RAM shot up, and as soon as I closed the tab my RAM went right back to normal... Now I know three gigs of RAM isn't that much, but it's definitely enough to keep firefox running without freezing up. I am uninstalling this add-on until it has been improved

I'm not sure why Mozilla themselves didn't write a better description, but here is what I got from the project's official page:
"In short, Jetpack is an API for allowing you to write Firefox add-ons using the web technologies you already know."

The chrome weirdness I had with 0.1.6 is no longer there with 0.2.1. Phew!

Just upgrade to 0.1.6 and it's messing with the chrome around the left edge and across the top behind the tabs. I do have All In One Sidebar installed so I don't know if one is interfering with the other or not.

I think Jackpack can really boost up add on development and get firefox more and more support, the idea is great.
Well, I install this addon for the first time today, but everytime i try the tutorial code it throw exception from _getLocalFeed, in summary I can do nothing for my first try, very bad beginning :( .
This cost I star deduct.
