I'm happy that there is a replacement for gContactSync. But at the moment the synchronization takes quite long and it seems to block normal work in Thunderbird.

Thanks for Your review. The synchronization of, say, 500 contacts should take about 10 seconds the first time, then only a few seconds when re-synchronizing. Once the final version is ready, however, I may think about speeding it up a little.
