I've been keeping this addon alive by updating the max version number but it has finally failed. However, there is a direct replacements in the form of BorderColors GT at https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/bordercolors-gt/?src=ss

Works in TB 14 with the compatability tweak - set my max version to 15.9
