Still staying on Thunderbird 69 just for this add-on

Hello everyone,
since this extension is no more supported and the original developer is not willing to update it to the current TB version, I warmly suggest all of you to support this proposal:
https://connect.mozilla.org/t5/ideas/color-for-account/idi-p/14758
Please vote it as much as you can, and maybe one day we will have the account colors natively supported in TB!

It's a shame this is no longer available. I remained at v 68.12 just for this add-on. I now have an e-mail account which requires a TB version 77 or later. This should be basic functionality in an e-mail application.

Count me in on this crowd-funding effort. I'd happily pay for a version that works with recent Tbird versions. PLEASE bring this back! This plug-in is a must. Shame on Thunderbird for not building it into the redesigned interface.

I have been using Thunderbird for a short time, I sadly regret that this extension, probably one of the most useful, is no longer developed. Can I suggest to the author to resume development of the extension for Thunderbird 91+, but to sell it? I will be the first to buy a license! And I encourage everyone to encourage the author to revive this extension. Thank you. Fred, from France.❤️

Merci. Fred, de France ❤️.

I knew I should of stayed on the old version of TB. I have no idea why this not a default option. Clearly someone is asleep at the wheel at TB. I have like 10 emails its so hard to tell them apart now. This is no reflection of the modder its not your job to spend eternity providing the simplest of features that TB doesn't.

lost this addon due to the current version of TB.
the mistakes one makes having multiple accounts and no colors ......
No doubt this addon has been under appreciated throughout it's life.

This is a great add-on and the loss of this feature is reason that I have reluctantly decided to move to a different email client. Just about every modern client has a way of distinguishing different accounts, I can't believe that Thunderbird doesn't support it natively and relies on add-on developers to provide it.

This was a fantastic add-on. Sad to see it go, but having just looked into the steps required to upgrade this add-on to Thunderbird 78 it would appear Mozilla have removed the functionality that would allow *any* add -on to color the background of the message list window.
If this is the case, surely Mozilla must realise that many people used such a feature and if they have restricted access via official API, they either need to release an API or add the function for colouring accounts into the main UI.?

I sorely miss this add-on, and didn't appreciate it enough in previous versions. For users like me with multiple accounts, colour coding made Thunderbird workflow so easy and intuitive. I hope this gets functionality comes back for current or future versions! Thank you DW-dev for supporting it for as long as you have.

There's no way I'll upgrade from 68 unit there's a substitute for Account Colors! With 7 email accounts … well, I tried the new Thunderbird on my secondary computer and forget it! I can't judge "enhanced security" or other "wonderful enhancements," but I can sure tell when software is harder to use.

Well, have been living without this great addon for a few months now for obvious reasons, and it has turned out to be completely irreplacable. Working with multiple accounts has become tedious and error-prone, it's a shame that there is apparently no way to bring back the clear color-coded arrangement of messages. None of the proposed alternatives can be used instead to mimic any of the core functionalities of Account Colors, they don't even come close. A giant thank you to the developer for providing such a great tool for so many years! And hopefully there will be something similar in the future.

I used to LOVE this when it worked, thanks to the author for all these good years... :)
