Barestem biscuitroot or Indian parsley seedlings in early spring- east Cascades, Washington State.
Plants in this family and genera when blooming looks like carrots, except this one has yellow flowers instead of white. The leaves are high in vitamin C and were used by Native Americans for fresh greens and seasoning. It tastes like very strong parsley.
