Email Translator — Privacy Policy

What data is processed
When you translate an email, the text content of that email is sent to a third-party translation service for processing. No other data (headers, sender, recipient, subject, attachments) is transmitted.

Which services receive your data
Depending on the translation provider selected in the extension settings:

• Google Translate (default) — data is sent to translate.googleapis.com, operated by Google LLC. See Google's privacy policy.
• MyMemory (optional) — data is sent to api.mymemory.translated.net, operated by Translated S.r.l. (Italy). See their privacy policy at mymemory.translated.net.
• DeepL (optional) — data is sent to api-free.deepl.com, operated by DeepL SE (Germany). See their privacy policy.

Local storage
Translated results are cached locally in your Thunderbird profile using the browser's storage.local API. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to the extension developer.

What the developer does NOT collect

• No usage data, telemetry, or analytics are collected.
• No email content or translation results are stored on any server operated by the developer.
• No account or registration is required to use this extension.
