Was working on old computer*, but not with new System with Windows 10, Firefox 40.0.2. Only whatever is set as the 'default' size setting works.
*except for having to restart Firefox for changes to what the size options are.

I've been a Custom Geometry user for years, but I've just come across a nice Windows freeware app that meets my needs better, so I thought I'd share.
It's called Sizer and can be found here: http://www.brianapps.net/sizer/
The thing I particularly like about it is that I can use it for all windows, so one small app and I can resize Firefox, Thunderbird, Chrome, Opera etc. Ideal for web devs. It's also very unobtrusive (right click title bar to activate).
As for Custom Geometry - Thanks Kertis for creating this great extension and sharing it with the world. The main reason I looked for something else is that I didn't like the way version 2.5 worked (sitting in the toolbar) and got a little tired of having to hack version 2.4 to make it work on all my versions of Firefox.

This is still one of my all-time favorite add-ons, but the new version 2.5.0 doesn't work at all for me, in either Firefox 3.6.13 or 4 beta. The first time I click on the icon (either status bar or toolbar) it gives me the default geometry. But then it ceases to respond. I've never yet managed to get any of my alternate size options to work. So I'm back on 2.4,0, and eagerly awaiting 2.5,1...
By the way, Firefox 4 does have a status bar, although it's not called that any more. Count me as another user who'd prefer tools like Custom Geometry to live down there, instead of on the toolbar.

Dear Kertis, Regards v2.5.0 release alterations to suit Firefox 4 [and thus forgetting that many many C.G. users are still using Firefox v3.x and will autoupdate to v2.5.0 without discovering you've killed off the limited Status Bar access v2.4.0 enjoyed.
PLEASE RESTORE (the existing limited) STATUS BAR ACCESS for Firefox v3.x users because it is now almost unusable.
Why? Because Firefox 4 will be a dud with many thousands of users (i.m.h.o.) if it doesn't have a Status Bar & just because lemmings jump off cliffs, doesn't mean that CustomGeometry has to be one of the first to jump (in fact it's better to be towards the rear as you're more likely to land safely on top of others!!!).
In the meantime I'll go back too v2.4.0. and thanks for the unintended heads-up about Firefox v4.x not having a Status Bar.
While I'm writing to you; the one feature I'd like to see added is full user access to CustomGeometry from the Status Bar - rather than having to go too Tools>Extension Options>CustomGeometry in order to add/change/delete a window
My Rating v2.4.0 ''4 out of 5'' a perfect 5 would be given if the user had full access from Firefox Status Bar; but i.m.h.o. for Firefox 3.6.x users v2.5.0 is a ''1 out of 5'' because it is now almost unusable.

I was hoping I could use this to help me design some websites. Unfortunately, version 2.4.0 does not work for me on FF 3.6.8. It will not save ANY settings and starts the oddly sized window halfway across the screen. I uninstalled it after five minutes.

@Chris, this is a known issue, I reported this some time ago. Hopefully it is being worked on. See https://www.mozdev.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=19519

2.3.1 does not work on my firefox 3.5.5

At first this was good. But once I realized that it resizes popup windows it became basically useless. Why on earth would I want a popup window to become the same as my full Firefox window? It's annoying enough that some sites throw popups in your face but when they grow to full size it's just too much. I've removed this in the hopes that someday the developer will add an option to limit resizing to just the main window, so we have control over this non-sensical behaviour.

This is good to an extant. What it really needs is a button that takes your current geometry and saves it as a config. Why do we have to write down the numbers and type them in by hand? Computers are meant for automation - so automate... my 2 cents. Hope you can add this someday.

Possibility to set both size and coords of browser window with one click while working with multiple application on big screen is really a-must-have for me, so I am big fan of this addon. Version 2.3.1 for FF 3.5 is avilable on project website. Thanx a lot!

This is my absolute most favorite add-on. I just boot up the computer, and my entire Firefox setup is exactly where I want it - stretched across 2 screens in perfect position. THANKS!

Needs just 2 more options: (1) option for Default to not be used at start-up so that (2) single left-click on the status-bar icon will reset to Default (without Default being invoked when certain websites open "helper" (or whatever) windows on clicked links). (Yep, this would make it work as simply as the previous version. :D) Thanks.

Awesome extension. Hey folks, version 2.2.0 on mozdev apparently brings back the one click resize. Going there now and to try it out.

EXACTLY what I was looking for. Thank you so much!!!! My only complaint is that after you add a new custom size, you can't use that size until you restart the browser. Overall though, this is a five star, AMAZING add-on. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!

Well, I only have a Mac and found that this extension achieved nothing. Perhaps it is not designed for Macs and therefore this review may be unfair but all I need to do is drag the corner of the Browser window. When reopening, the Browser window is automatically resized to the dimensions when it was last closed. I used your extension for 5 minutes, realizing that all it could achieve was a complicated way of doing what I could already do. Thanks for the experiment. This review would not be here if you'd mentioned that it was only for 'Windows'.

I tried 2.1.0 and not only does it not seem to work properly, I now get options when I click the icon.
Thankfully, I could still get 1.3.0 from the version history: Single-click restores size & position - that's why I liked this Add-on in the first place.

My need for a resizing extension comes from the embedded video players resizing the window. Not only does it restore the window back to the dimensions I want, but it repositions it back as well. The features that I would like would be: a right click on the status bar icon to access the options/preferences, a positioning parameter for where the icon can be located on the status bar, and lastly, a parameter that would lock the window to the dimensions you want to prevent it from being unexpectedly resized in the first place...sort of a resize-block.

The plug-in does what it says on the tin.
But it would be nice to add some more features, like some default resolutions, a way to see the current dimensions and a way to same the current position. (Right now it is quite trial and error like to set it up.)
This is a must for widescreen users IMO.
