Some site are conflicting with this addon: for example typing numbers in text field at https://confluence.atlassian.com triggers hotkeys.
And more such incompatible sites are coming (even addons.mozilla.org), probably they started using some intrusive JS framework.

I work faster and more efficiently thanks to this add-on. That makes me happy.

Had to use Add-on Converter for SeaMonkey to install, and now it works just fine. Really nice, handy keyboard shortcuts!

I bind backspace (in linux it is really needed) to return to previous page.
And this extension works wrong on tags with property contenteditable="true".
I want to delete previous symbol, but I go to previous page!

Only 42 items can be assigned shortcuts. No option to add shortcut to "show bookmark toolbar"

Hello.
Please change a method of definition of the pressed buttons, switchings don't work at other language.
Or add the second option of a combination. For example "Back" "z" and "a".

Tried this out to simulate the great "single key shortcuts" in Opera, but sadly it collides with Wordpress and won't let you use those keys when typing is a post.

i remember there was an old keyconfig(no space between key config), which is better in adding many many user's defined gestures....It can be used now but long long since it was last updated....

Can you take it for some reference to improve!

Coming from Opera, this is a must have.

Thank you for this add-on! It's quite useful to customize Firefox to one's own preferences. It's easy to use and seems to do what it should be doing.

Nonetheless, an update would be nice to use it without the menu (now the add-on is accessible via menu: Tools > Key settings). I would probably put it in the Preferences window as separate section, called "Keymap" like in NetBeans -- but such a modification might not be possible due to security limitations in Firefox. An icon like other add-ons use it would also work.

Almost perfect. Coming from Opera, I've gotten so used to 1 & 2 switching between tabs, and 0/9/6 for zoom + / zoom - / reset zoom. Key Config gives me that with zero effort. I gave 4 stars not 5 because there is very little documentation, and I can't figure out how to get to the settings in Firefox 30. (I wouldn't dock a whole star for requiring a restart, but since I'm already complaining I might as well nitpick.)

I really wanted to unbind the spacebar. Alas, no luck.

Wanted to unbind ctrl+shift+w, couldn't do it. Uninstalled.

The addon is a bit glitched. If you press 1 or 2 to switch tabs while the cursor is in a text box, it switches tabs instead of inputting 1 or 2 into the text box. This makes it impossible to type 1 or 2 unless you do it in an external application (eg. notepad) and copy-paste to the text box in Firefox.

tl;dr
This addon should not switch tabs using 1/2 shortcut keys while text box is selected.

This is a good extension for Opera users to familiar with Firefox.
The predefined key are similiar to those single key shortcuts in Opera.
But I can't find the configuration menu from the top left menu button.

Key config addon comes with very strange defaults.
The plain "z" and "x" keys are remapped.

After installing I had the following issue:
If you try to send mail via a web form and enter any word that contains "z" or "x" - you mail is immediately cancelled and closed.

Please check and change the default key bindings right after installing the this addon.

The addon should disable these shortcuts when user is in some text box or text area where people usually write text.

I guess this must be bug, where text box was not detected.
At which form in which website this happened to you?

This is a HUGE disappointment. I tried it as a replacement for the original keyconfig, thinking that this was the same add-on with a space added to the name. How wrong I was. First of all, it has only a tiny fraction of the many events that keyconfig has. Second, it disabled all the key bindings of keyconfig. What!? Try to find the original. It is much better.

I accidentally got into fullscreen mode and tried to use esc to get out. It didn't work and I had to use the help forum to find out how to get out. So I wanted to change esc so I wouldn't have that problem again. (What program doesn't use esc to get out of fullscreen--other than firefox?)

This addon lets esc be the fullscreen toggle. The addon at http://mozilla.dorando.at/readme.html doesn't appear to work on firefox 3.

Без этого дополнения все, кто работает левой мышкой, мучаются.
Without this addition all who works as the left mouse, suffer.
