It is a handy add-on. I would like to see more conversions as well as market views from Nasdaq, S&P, etc. Since it will be really crowded if you add more conversions and market views. Letting the users customize and design according to their needs could enhance the tool and make it more powerful. However; it should not be located in the status bar. It should be designed in a way that users can click on status bar and it opens up a panel like "Open Gspace Panel" so that users can follow more and whatever they need to track based on their customization.
