Works fine with Thunderbird 3 on Mac if you download the latest from:
http://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/calendar/lightning/releases/1.0b1rc1/mac/
Nice look and feel.
To create your own collections, you must have a Mozilla Add-ons account.
