About this Add-on
This add-on generates protected e-mail addresses that can be used to cut down on incoming junk mail.
Generated addresses can be date-based, which will expire after a set amount of days. Once expired, all mail sent to those addresses is automatically handled like junk mail.
Alternatively, addresses may contain a visible user-defined tag or keyword to make them easily identifiable. While these addresses are valid indefinitely, the tag helps to identify the source in case of a leak of private information.
To generate new addresses, add the "Generate Address" button to the toolbar.
All mail sent to addresses not generated by this add-on are left untouched.
Note: To use this addon, you must be able to receive mail for lots of different recipient addresses. Ideally you can receive mail for a whole domain. If you can only receive mail for one or a few addresses, this add-on is probably not for you.
