A really useful extension, you can forget about mountains of spam bothering on your sidebar. Thank you very much for make it compatible with TB60.

Initially I had the same problem as fgilbert, my folder was named "Unerwünscht". The solution Alex Cabal suggested was to go to
Account Settings -> [Account] -> Junk Settings -> Destination and Retention
and set Thunderbird to move new junk messages to the folder in question. Now it works exactly as advertised. Thanks again!

This is what I needed! Thanks!

I had to fiddle with the preferences because my french provider does not put spam in a standard folder (folder named "QUARANTAINE"), and TB didn't identify it as a spam folder.
Alex Cabal was kind enough to help me solve this issue.
And since then, spam sorted there by server side filters is automatically marked as read and does not require my attention anymore.
Thanks!

And very useful it is, as well: prevents constant distraction as the junk folders fill up. Thank you.

Great add-on. Works as expected and designed. I have several computers with Thunderbird on each. I'll ensure this is on each.
Now, if only Mr. Cabal could write one for trash - that would be an excellent addition!
Thanks Again!

"Mark Junk Read" does exactly what it is supposed to do and works great. Thanks to the developer!

At first this sounded good... not being bothered by bold, unread messages in the Folder pane. But then I recalled that occasionally I get important emails that for some reason go into this folder and I rely on the bold type to remind me to review this folder. Were I to not be reminded by this, then I suspect that I would be too busy to remember to go into this folder and reclassify important emails as "Not Spam" or "Not Junk". Thank you for your kind work, but I'll pass, as I like to know what's going in to my folders when Thunderbird does this.
EDIT: My sincere apologies to the developer. He is absolutely correct about the functionality of the product, and I deeply apologize for allowing my opinion to cloud the truth.
That's a fine sentiment, but did you *really* have to rate it one star because it does exactly what it says on the tin?
