The concept is good. The implementation is unfortunately bad.
It's very useful to see the custom icons on the email header and in the email list next to every email address.
However every time a folder or account is selected the entire email list will flicker, no matter how many times the icons have been downloaded previously. It seems that no cache system is in place.
Also, every time a new email or folder is selected, the CPU usage spikes in a way that it's not done when this extension is off.
I wish this extension was better engineered. This functionality is a must for email clients.

Indeed the implementation is bit tricky as the refresh rate of Thunderbird is quite high and random (I haven't figured out how it really works). Therefore the flickering is high for now.
You can for now disable the display in the inbox list in the settings.
However there is a cache system for icons, and its status is shown in settings.
To create your own collections, you must have a Mozilla Add-ons account.
