They've put Bing Search Engine here:

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/10434

I guess Mozilla has a contract with master Google not to include Bing.com (formerly Live.com) to the list of available Search Engine Providers in all the firefox product. I can't wait to see Google Chrome crushing Firefox for their naive loyalty!

Google is the next fearful devil!

hmm... surely this is now out of date as there is no longer a 'live.com'? PS for those of you who are a bit behind, it's now www.bing.com

Baaa - they have nothing on Google or Yahoo!

5 star all the way:

images - far superior to the rest (with loads of easy to use functionality).

news - fresh and uncensored

web - as up to date as anyone else on the Web today

First off I'd like to say, The IMAGE search! it's amazing! It's the best tool to search for desktop wallpapers, I set the size setting to Desktop and it only displays pics that are the same resolution as my screen! As far as the general search aspect go's it has great results, i have no complaints. The video search is pretty neat how it has active preview when you roll your cursor over the picture.

I did away with Google when I learned they were censoring search results.

For the longest time, Live was no match ATALL for Google. However now, for the first time it looks like they have made some serious improvements and are better than Google!! A few weeks back I gave Live another try and was pleasantly surprised! The results are better than Google's. There are less "link farms"/spurious results. Their image search is really neat. Also try going to live.com - the website is beautiful! I have since started using it and now am making it the default provider in Mozilla - I am that impressed!

Better than Google. This is the first time I have ever been satisfied enough with the results that I permanently switched away from Google.

I just installed it. got to tell you it's amazing how accurate the results are. I am very very surprised. amazing how Mozilla ignores live seach as one of the options for the search bar. it's like they want to force me not to use it. well, too bad microsoft will buy yahoo in a couple of days.

I've switched to live search. It is at least as accurate as google.

fast search with relevant answers. less "server-farms" or ebay powerseller on the first answer sites, then other popular search engines.

ok this is the deal
this plugin make the relevant search line:
http://search.live.com/results.aspx?q={searchTerms}&sourceid=Mozilla-search&form=CHROME

the problem is that this search does a redirection to another local search site,
and my guess is that the redirection to the search site is based on the geographical location or the ISP.

Any how...

If I go to live.com
and try to do a search there - it redirects me to msn search site!
that search site completely has the layout of live search

so I guess all live searches are now taking place instead at msn.com

just see for yourself

my point is that the live.com searches plugin for firefox has to be change to this line:
http://search.msn.com/results.aspx?src=&q={searchTerms}&sourceid=Mozilla-search&form=CHROME
