My Reviews
Lightning
Rated 5 out of 5 stars
As stated in the tips for writing reviews:
"Please do not post bug reports in reviews. See the support section to find out where to get assistance for this add-on."
For those of you downgrading this invaluable add-on because of problems with Google Calendar, this is because of Google and NOT because of Lightning! Check out
http://blog.mozilla.org/calendar/
to find out how to resolve your Google Calendar integration issues and then please consider adding a star or two to your rating!
Edit Email Subject (EES)

Now all those irritating changed (or absent!) subjects that screw up threads can be corrected! Très bien, merci!!!
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.0.2).LightningButton

Update + Reply March 26, 2012: Got it! Just goes to show how long I've been using Lightning without bothering to check on new button possibilities. Thanks for the tip! Welcome to the 5-Star Club!

Nearly almost perfect.
The only thing missing for me is a button for appointment searching - a feature which is only available via menu (i.e. not defined as a shortcut).
WAT (WebApplicationTab)
Rated 3 out of 5 stars
UPDATE: (Originally 4 stars). Backward/forward navigation no longer works (TB 10.0.2 + WAT 1.3.3/4) with keyboard shortcuts (=> minus one star), but it used to! (See https://github.com/teramako/wat/issues/4). To file or comment on a bug you need to have an account at the obscure github or send an email to the developer (=> almost minus another star)

GREAT for opening a hyperlink in a TB Tab without that notorious monster, Thunder Browse! Simple sleek, fast and (so far) very compatible! Icons for forward/backward navigation would be additionally useful, but at least the typical keyboard shortcuts work for this purpose.
Follow Reply

With Thunderbird 31.0 FollowReply prevents the appearance of TB's native "external content warning" bar which appears below the the header of HTML-formatted messages containing embedded content (e.g., images). The warning bar is used to allow the activation of external content from known and presumed safe sources. Turning this addon off brings the warning bar back.

This nice addon does not not work from grouped folders. For example, clicking on the reply arrow doesn't initiate a search and results in the error (shown below), but if you change to the Inbox of the account, it works!

This sometimes does not work. FR generated this error output on an IMAP message in the Group Inbox:
-----
Fehler: uncaught exception: [Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x80004003 (NS_ERROR_INVALID_POINTER) [nsIMsgDatabase.GetMsgHdrForKey]" nsresult: "0x80004003 (NS_ERROR_INVALID_POINTER)" location: "JS frame :: chrome://followreply/content/followreply.js :: <TOP_LEVEL> :: line 27" data: no]
-----
The reply is in the IMAP Sent folder and is found when FR is started from the account Inbox. FR works on most other messages when started in Grouped folders.

Very nice, indeed, even if exceedingly slow on IMAP accounts having a lot of folders. The performance could be improved by being able to specify which folders should be searched for replies and a possibility to cancel a lonnnngggg search.
It would be great to see this developed further!
Extension List Dumper
Rated 5 out of 5 stars
This is a well-thought-out extension and helped me make an add-on collection much easier than Mozilla does! The export list is extremely thorough, covering info such as add-on version, description, and compatibility as well as application (browser/mail) info and date of installation. You can select whether all, active, inactive or incompatible extensions should be listed in text, html, csv (semi-colon or comma delimited) or BBCode format. The list can be saved, printed directly or simply copied to the clipboard! Excellent and simple!
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.15.1.1-signed.1-signed).Deselect on Delete
Rated 4 out of 5 stars
I hadn't used the TB tabs for messages because deleting a tabbed message wouldn't close the tab. For this reason I couldn't use many of the tabbing features on the QuickFolders add-on. With Deselect-On-Delete installed, simply pressing DEL on a tabbed message not only deletes the message but closes the tab as well.
Simple, effective and... almost perfect. I use Lightning (calendar) in a tab as well. It would be nice to return to the previously accessed tab or first tab (Inbox) when the tab closes on delete instead of the last open tab.
To create your own collections, you must have a Mozilla Add-ons account.
