Flat Folder Tree 1.1.2 Requires Restart
by Gadget Master
Selectively breakout or promote sub-folders under an intermediate folder in the folder tree. Use with IMAP servers where some folders remain collapsed under special namespace like [Gmail] or the INBOX itself.
About this Add-on
After installing this add-on, three new commands will be added to the context menu of each folder in the folder tree view.
Breakout Subfolders
This option brings out the subfolders of the selected folder and hides the parent folder itself. This is perfect for breaking out the special [Gmail] namespace imposed by Google Mail.
Promote Subfolders
This option brings out the subfolders of the selected folder and still keeps the parent folder visible. This is perfect for IMAP servers where special folders are stored under INBOX.
Restore Parent Folder
This option resets the selected folder's siblings and parent folder to their initial state.

It needs to be updated! At least as is not integrated into Thunderbird. :(

Open the Gmail account server settings, advanced button, and type [Gmail] into the IMAP server directory.

Works flawlessly even with most new versions.
If the original coder is still around here. Would you mind if I keep upgrading the extension to make it work with newest TB versions?
