Suddenly I my aol account stopped working and I had to update Thunderbird - ugh! Nothing works (as usual). I really appreciate the comments above (especially the toaster!). I just want things to remain as they were. The carriage return changed in paragraphs? What else. Heck, why not start moving the tabs and things around. Who are these people who are compelled to just change things instead of just fixing bugs? In Firefox, I've had to spend hours with each release redoing the new easy to use CSS customizations. Was that an improvement? Hell no! If there were some old-school Mozilla replacement, I'd be there. It's unfortunate that the new philosophy at Mozilla has killed addons like this....

I used this addon very often and it always worked fine!
It's very sad that Mozilla does not support these addons any more. Stupid.

Does a grand job.
Understandable why this has not been kept up to date with Mozilla's ever moving goal posts. I'm seeing quite a lot of my addons no longer function for the same reason.

but .... does not work with latest version of TB (78)

don't know if I did a magic trick but I changed the extensions.strictCompatibility setting in config editor and this image resize add on worked fine. I am running the latest version of Thunderbird?

Unbelievable that Thunderbird/Mozilla have shot themselves in the foot yet again by destroying the good relationships with add-on writers and the user-base. If they don't want add-ons, then they need to update the core program to do simple tasks! (like rotating an embedded image or heeding the rotation tags!)

Excellent add-on! Really a pity is no longer supported. However, I sympathise with TrVTrV!
With no doubt I'd pay for it if made compatible again.

Really handy add-on that's kept me from moving to Thunderbird 68. I hope the developer considers making it paid and updating it for 68. I'd happily pay $20 / yr for it.

I *really* appreciated this add-on, and sympathize with the annoyance of breaking changes introduced in TBird 68. I agree with others who suggested that this be migrated to a paid add-on to fund work to migrate it to TBird 68+; I'd pay for it! NOTE that there is now a more detailed migration guide at https://developer.thunderbird.net/add-ons/tb68 which looks like it'd eliminate the guesswork needed to migrate - still annoying that so many breaking changes were introduced to TBird.

This add-on did an excellent job, thank you for the time you spent to develop it. I perfectly understand your point. I fully understand your discouragement. I too am fed up with these permanent changes that make tools that work well dysfunctional without the consent of users and volunteer developers.

I very much appreciate this addon app. It drastically simplifies my delivery of images. It's so helpful that I've downgraded TB to keep it. I say this will full empathy regarding the lack of support from Mozilla for addon developers. Upgrading TB has often done this to addons in the past. The auto-upgrade is now off! Thanks again for the hard work on this.

I'm fond of Resize Add-On. What a pity that TB do not support developpers like you.
Thank-you so much for your free contribution that enables a better world.

I'm rolling back my Thunderbird installation, just so I can use this add-on...Best part about TB was this add-on.

Sorry to see you won't upgrade it, although that's perfectly understandable. Mozilla is definitely at fault here and I dislike what they've been doing with Thunderbird lately, as many add-ons I've used for years stop working one after the other.
There's nothing special about v68 anyway, other than a broken dark theme (at least for me), so will stick to v60.
In any case thank you for your great work on this add-on!

Extremly useful plugin, unfortunately not work wiht TB v68 as written in the note. I am using it over years on my Ubuntu Linux and was very happy to have it installed on all of my instances.
I would support development with a donation if possible and not only once, also every yaer!

One of my favorite TB add-ons! A must-have for all users, who usually send images in emails.
Unfortunately the developer decided to give up developing this app and making it compatible with 68+ TB versions. Being a free add-on, developing takes to much time, for no money. I suggest to make this add-on paid, and continue the development. I would gladly pay for this great tool, and I think there are many other users like me.

This is my overall favorite extension written for Thunderbird. It provides you:
1) All the options you could need for image resizing, with a convenient pop-up while you send the email.
2) Really granular features: You can undo resizing, and add individual options for each image in the composition. Even better: You can define your own very detailed settings.
3) This was well-maintained for such a long time, always getting new releases shortly after Mozilla devs broke support.
On one hand, we really need a new Extension with the same features.
On the other hand, we really need image resizing to be a core feature. In this sense, this plugin has really done its work well, showcasing how such a feature can be done.
Thanks for all your hard work TrVTrV.
You have saved mail storage servers, backup servers, local hard drives etc. terrabytes of data and mail senders/readers from thousands of hours of transfer times.

Essential addon... Would really appreciate if developer could make it compatible with the last Thunderbird version (v68)...

Waaaaaay overly complicated to set up. It caused massive problems for me on Thunderbird. Useless to inexperienced user, as are most of the setups in Thunderbird, as well...
