Very disappointing that Buttons! has not been updated to be compatible with the latest version(s) of Thunderbird. No doubt it is a hassle for the author(s) to keep up with the increasing frequency of updates, but please! We need these buttons! It still gets five stars in the hope an update with be forthcoming.

Buttons worked fine with TB7 and XPSP3 but strangely didn't show up in Add-on Manager so now I have a new question - how to uninstall if I need to.

Lee, you know, I noticed that yesterday but I didn't associate it with Buttons!. I closed TB, reopened it and then carried on editing from Drafts and everything was fine! I'm using TB5, WindowsXP SP3.

tested in Win7 32. Ever since I force-activated Buttons! with the MaxVersion trick I have been experiencing the following bug:with an email highlighted, click reply. Close the window again without saving. Click reply (or forward) again. Neither the 'To' fields nor the subject line are editable. They become editable only by saving the message.I disabled ALL other AddOns AND PlugIns except Buttons!, restarted - still the same.Discussion incl. ideas/ alternatives etc. please here: http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=48&t=53664&p=11013293#p11013293

EDIT: CompactHeader offers me all the buttons I need - adieu Buttons!

I should have read the reviews. I'm running Thunderbird 3.1.9, so it won't install. Is this extension on hiatus, or has it been dropped?
I'm giving it one star because it won't work. You need updated Thunderbird versions for newer extensions like Lightning to halfway work.

Hoping for an update soon!

I like the idea of this, however, on the latest version the new delete button and new "Previous" and "Next" buttons are not working.

I am also desperate for the new version of this add on. Thanks to the kind soul that updated it. Look at previous review.

For those (like me) desperate for Buttons! in TB 3.1.2, I unzipped the XPI, modified the max version in the install.rdf file, re-zipped it, and it seems to be working. I've put a copy of the modified XPI at
http://tech-meanderings.blogspot.com/2010/09/buttons-tweak-for-thunderbird-31x.html if you want to try it.

Thunderbird tried to update to 3.1.2, but it says Buttons! 0.5.3.2 won't work. PLEASE update for TB 3.1.2!
How will I know when you do?

This is a great add-on! Unfortunately, the latest Thunderbird update (3.1.2) killed it. Please update for 3.1.2. Thanks!

Cheers,
Allan

Archiving to folders was a life save in TB2. But after adding Buttons 5.3.2 to TB 3.0.4 I get an error "folder you selected is invalid". Setting to add a new folder doesn't work. Buttons 5-stars. Upgrades 0-stars.

Please update for 3.1

I've found this extension quite useful and well-behaved through TB 3.0.5. However the update process to 3.1 says 0.5.3.2 won't work there, and I am unwilling to do without the File button (for moving messages into folders). Is there a prospect of Buttons! being updated for TB 3.1, or is there another extension that has a button with this functionality?

I've been using Buttons! for years too; how time flies. After updating TB to 3.0.4 my Buttons! 0.5.3.2 installation suddenly stopped working. A message under Add-Ons said -Does not provide secure updates-.

I re-downloaded Buttons! 0.5.3.2 (wasn't the same size as my previous download with the same version number) and re-installed and suddenly the message has disappeared and it works again.

Maybe the numbering should be changed to 0.5.3.2a ;-)

The archive! button is awesome and I've been using it for years... regretfully, it doesn't work at all on tb 3.0.4 (at least on linux) :-(

I almost didn't try to install this because of the comments that it doesn't work on TB3, but I was desperate because Toolbar Buttons and Custom Buttons would not work.

It works nicely on TB 3.0.4 for me, on a Windows 7, x64 machine.

Thanks for this lifesaving add-on!
