My Reviews
Mostly Crystal (for Thunderbird)
Rated 3 out of 5 stars
I love this theme, but since some recent updates composition (write) window is screwed up. The composition toolbar no longer shows all of the buttons, even if the window is stretched to max width.
Sadly, I've had to go back to the default template. :-(
PitchDark for TB

Not for me. I've had this installed for quite a few months now, and check it every now and again. Simply way too extreme for me. Dark blue on black is almost impossible to read in the email list. It's far too much of a strain. Sorry, it's gotta go. Too bad too, because I actually do like a lot of dark themes. This one is just too much.

Beautiful design! What more can I say? Color scheme is perfect, works VERY well with Lightning, and the icons are the MOST intuitive I've seen yet. No need for setting any toolbars to show text.
I was instantly impressed, and will probably keep this as default theme for quite a while.

Completely strips the grid from the calendar making it very difficult to read. You will also lose your quick open icons in the tab bar.
Apart from that, tabs are difficult to see. I can't even tell which is the active tab.
"Mostly Crystal" theme is similar in feel (though the icons aren't quite as "retro") and just plain works better IMHO. There are reasons after all, that designers have changed the way things look over the years...
Lightning
Rated 4 out of 5 stars
I've had Lightning installed now for a few months on TB3, syncing with four Google calendars with little to no problems at all. The only caveat is that tasks won't sync, but that's not a problem with Lightning, it's because Google doesn't support it yet. Other than that, it's awesome, and I'm perfectly satisfied with it, other than the reminder/alerts.The alerts screens are ridiculously large. I have a screen resolution of 1024 by 768, and though the alert screen fits fine, when the snooze options are opened, the button to click to set the snooze appears off screen. Because of this, I have to move the alert window to the left a little before I can snooze it.There's really no reason for making that window so large. But, that's my only complaint so far.
To Tish: You may have to open it. There should be a tiny button toward the left side of the tab field that looks like a tiny calendar. You can also go to Events and Tasks > Calendar, and it should open in a tab. If the Events and Tasks menu isn't there at the top, it isn't installed correctly, and probably not at all. Check Tools > Add-ons, then click the Extensions button. If you don't see it there, it's not installed.

Looks great and works well. Hope the other two (Aqua and Graphite) are updated soon.

Buttons in the messages show up in three duplicate rows. All the tool tips for all say "Reply to this message."
TB 3.0
Looks great, but this and Aqua seems to need an update.
iLeopard Mail 3.2.1.3 works great so far with TB 3.0

Buttons in reading pane and open emails are really messed up in TB 3.0!
I bet it was great, but this needs to be fixed.
iLeopard Mail 3.2.1.3 works and looks fantastic though.

Speed Dial
Rated 4 out of 5 stars
This is a wonderful extension. The recent added capability of grouping speed dials is incredibly useful. Drag and drop organization of groups, sizing of thumbnails makes accessing your most used Web pages beautifully simple. A real time saver. I anticipate using Speed Dial instead of FF's built in book marks as soon as I can get them all organized.
The only downside I can think of (which isn't a problem for me) is that configuring it might be a little difficult for newer users. My suggestion for new users is not to miss out on this extension. Check in on the discussion section here for problems you have with it. Chances are, there's either a solution, or a workaround for it. Don't let your "newbeeism" scare you away from this extension. Once you learn to configure and use it, I think you'll find your effort was well spent.
