Would be better if the menu item wasn't indented.

Works absolutely great, but in latest updates (FF 19.0.2 Win 7 64 SP1) doesn´t work kb shortcut Ctrl+Shift+C which was very useful!

This one is a keeper. I can't count the number of times I've been forced to open Notepad first to copy in text but no longer.

Seriously, THANK YOU for updating the scripts to work with modern Firefox. This is a LIFE saver and registered this account just to say thanks specifically to YOU. Appreciate it greatly.

Works great, but it disables a hot-key I use in Firefox all the time. To force a link to open in a new tab, I right-click on the link and press T. Works great, unless PureText is enabled. Then it just doesn't work.

I know this seems like a picky issue, but I use it enough that I now have to disable PureText and go back to copying through Notepad or EditPad.

Thanks for making this available for the latest FF versions. For us needing to copy frequently from a web page to Office or similar, this feature enables them to go to the current FF versions and not have to wait back in the older FF versions in order to avoid the elongated process of going through Notepad, etc. Works just fine and as described.

This doesn't seem to work with Web Developer Toolbar (WDT) very well. The shortcut (Command+Shift+C) is already taken by WDT. I can remap the shorcut in WDT but I've been using it so long that it makes more sense to change the shortcut for THIS plugin, but I don't see that option.

I could do without the shortcut..... if this plugin would work with inputs and textareas. I have this input on a site I'm trying to copy from which contains special characters. But when I right click, the option to copy as plain text does not exist. Not sure if this is a bug or just a non-existent feature.

Very glad you provided this piece of code since I've been missing updates of the old copyplaintext extension. Your extension is very helpful, I use it a lot. Thanks!

Great idea! Saves me the trouble of copy and pasting text into notepad to remove formatting.

Hi, I added this addon to TB 7.0.1. I do not see the ‘Copy as Text’ item in the context menu when right clicking on selected text. I only see the "copy" item.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.0.1-signed.1-signed).

NEW REVIEW
This add-on earns 5 Stars, because it works fine with FF 7.0.1 and TB 7.0.1 and higher and it is very usable. I have deleted Extended Copy Menu (fix version) in FF (does not work with any versions of TB) for using Copy Pure Text, because this extension works with both. The developer also should get 5 Stars, because he cares for his add-ons and for the users of his extensions, and he reads the reviews and he reacts.
My commend: T O P.......... thank you very much.

OLD REVIEW
Copy Pure Text works fine with FF 6 (5 Stars), but not with TB 6 (this is the reason for 4 Stars)................ I hope in future Copy Pure Text will be developed for Thunderbird 6 and higher

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.0).

Version 2.0.0 is compatible with thunderbird. Give it a try. For any feedback, feel free to email me.
