Clicking on the context menu does not work.

Well, I can't edit my previous post; I'll have to post again, so ignore my post just below.
@Crazytester:
1. That method only works if you copied text first, and then pasted into the search box. It does NOT work if you manually input text into the search box, then middle-click the magnifying glass--it creates a search problem (e.g., 'mozillamozilla')--as I mentioned in my first post.
2. I middle-click on the magnifying glass because I want to open my search in a new tab straight away, instead of having to open a new tab first, then have to left-click the magnifying glass (or press enter)--it requires an extra step.

@Crazytester: I'm more used to inputting text first, then opening up a new tab with middle-click. But thanks, this way works too.

Does anyone know how to make it so that when you middle-click the magnifying glass button in firefox's search box, it won't paste the autocopied text? I find it really annoying to have the same text come out again, e.g., "mozillamozilla". I hope you guys can help. Thanks in advance.
(P.s. I tried contacting the developer, but his email and homepage forum don't work so I don't know where else to ask for help.)
