Works perfectly and as advertised. Works even when force-installed into the Firefox 4 beta.

Lightning on Thunderbird 3.0:

Instead of using a nightly build as suggested by Sakaane (and the previous user), for the average user (for stability reasons) I would suggest downloading lightning-all.xpi for your platform from the following URL:

http://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/calendar/lightning/releases/1.0b1rc1/
