I had developed fixed File Title 1.3 version that was compatible with Firefox 3.6 before File Title 1.4 was born: http://www.angelfire.cz/upload/file_title-1.3-fx.xpi
There is a 4.0b* install.rdf changed version: http://www.angelfire.cz/upload/file_title-1.4-fx+sm.xpi

This doesn't work for embedded PDFs, they still get saved as filename (not page title) and .pdf in the end.

Very helpful little addon, I appreciate it.
And it's been great keeping up with the 4.0b versions, except it's not quite up to my current 4.0b6 -- there must be a better way for add-on developers to sync with betas.

Thanks! What a no brainer feature. I wish Firefox would give me the two options of choosing which name I want to call the saved file instead of making me manually copy the title when I it makes more sense.

Works like a charm now with last update.
I hope it will be included in Firefox.

Thank you. File Title is my favorite and this version 1.4 finally extracts the proper file title for Firefox 3.6.x and 4.x.

It's an essential tool. One of the first extensions I install on ever version of FF I use.
To get this extension to work on current versions of FF, I use the "Mr Tech Toolkit" extension (also an essential extension). With Mr Tech loaded, when I try to install "File Title" it also shows a check-box "Override maxversion compatibility checking" on the "Software Installation" dialog. I check that box, click "Install Now", and it works fine.

I am not sure the developer is still supporting this addon as the home web page is kaput, but I find this addon is working fine on ff3.0.5 and it is a great help, thank you.
But now I save web pages as a single file using unmht, and File Title doesn't work for that. If the developer is still here, could you please adapt this addon to support mht page saves, please?

This extension does a very useful, time saving job. Can it be developed so it also works when saving as a .htm file (using the .htm addon)?
