I do not use tags myself but I know some people love them. I did test some tag addons and the ones I have here worked on Thunderbird 31.4.0. If I was to use tags here are the add-ons I would use.

Enable you to arrange the tag sequences in their listbox.
Nota del recopilador You would want to use this add-on or Tag Sequence to put tags away neatly. They both lets you put the tags in the order that you would like to have them. Sorry have not used them enough to know what one would be better so I put them both up.

This addon allows virtual folders (saved searches) to automatically process all subfolders of their selected target folders.
The search targets are updated automatically whenever a new folder is added, or a virtual folder is updated.
