Many thanks, It works great! I would love to see a few customization options (in English) like changing the notification sound, disabling it for certain accounts and changing the position or even the style of the popup window.

This works nicely (though Thunderbird should have something like this by default), but could it be possible to only get notifications for certain accounts? I don't want to get a pop-up every time someone writes a Tweet.

Pourquoi ne pas avoir pris les notification qui existe deja quand ont recoit un email mais pour le chat et quand ont clique dessus, ont peut repondre au chat !

Mais cest quand meme un bon debut! Je tien a dire que Thunderbird aurais pus inclure cela deja dans leur logiciel !

Génial... On l'attendait ! C'est clair.

Est-il possible d'ajouter un son à la notification ?
Celle-ci est vraiment trop rapide et on passe à côté de certains messages.

Hey there,

Not sure what it is exactly that is supposed to happen, but all I get is the default Thunderbird icon (the tiny red one) along with the default *plopp* sound, all of which I get also without having the addon installed.

Background info:
Thunderbird 24.2.0 on Ubuntu 13.10/Unity
I am using the chat in combination with my Google account.
Any ideas?

Minor issues as already mentioned by other reviewers. These should be cleared out in upcoming releases.

Chat still needs these 2 items for me, and it will be replacing the current in-house app we use.
- Broadcast to multiple users
- Contact groups

Handy, simple, good. Merci! (NOTE: you don't need to spak French to use this; I certainly don't know the language. Only the two"bubble" alerts (message sent and message received) are in French, and it's obvious what each alert means.

i have an idea, if you could put an option to this add-on to maximize chat window when user clicks on newly pop-up chat notification it would be awesome!

I love this addon. It was the only thing I was missing from using a separate chat application. I needed a few extra features, so I modified your addon: (1) I turned off the notifications when they are my own, (2) I added a generic icon to the notification window, and (3) I have the TB window frame blink until I see read the IM. I will check support to see if I can figure out how to send you my changes.

To be really usable, the list of accounts that get notified needs to be configurable. E.g., while I want all private communication to be notified, having every tweet and every IRC message as a notification becomes really distracting...

Excellente initiative, cet addon rend le chat beaucoup plus pratique.
J'utilise Linux (Gnome Shell),
ce serait excellent s'il n'y avait pas de notification lorsque je poste moi même un message (il m'indique Message de [mon nom] sans corps de message),
et si il n'y avait pas du tout de notification lorsque Thunderbird est la fenêtre active.
Et ce serait juste parfait si l'on pouvait répondre via la notification (un champ juste en dessous du message notifié).

C'est ce qu'il manquait à la fonctionnalité de chat native de Thunderbird: une notification audio et visuelle à la réception de message instantané :)
