Element Hiding Helper para Adblock Plus
Puntuado con 3 de 5 estrellas
Thanks for your answer.
I kind of figured this and its good to have it confirmed by you.
Actually I suspected this before I installed the add-on, but neither in this forum nor at Google did I find any suggestion that this ad-on is not for me (which it clearly isn't). I would not have installed it in the first place.

This is an add-on you must programme yourself.
It does nothing by itself.
Unfortunately I am not a programmer.
I tried anyway.
The add-on first asks what I want to hide.
But unfortunately the add-on covers the ads that I might want to hide with big pop-ups, so i dont really know what I want to hide because I see nothing but the ABP pop-up..
I am supposed to use some moving "frame" to tell the add-on what I want to hide - but these frames are also covered by the add-on's own pop-ups.
So I have to guess what I want to hide, and I have to guess which frames the add-on will see.
This was the easy part.
Now the add-on asks all kind of technical stuff: do I predictable prefer xVi#56 or are my 5G settings conductible with UH/TIp v. 2.5?
Stuff like this.
So I just click next - next - next... (you see, I am computer literate)
Result: toolbar in Firefox 7 gone, Firefox now looks the new look (I had the traditional look like FF 3.6), ABP is disabled, some websites (eg airlines) look very empty
I gotta uninstall this, I want my FF back.
Verdict: a f***ing piece of s***
