Dear Andreas,
I've found a bug that prevents me to enjoy this extension.
Stats tabs does not display any results and I think that I have found the reason using the thnderbird built-in debugger : I have some "smart folders" (results of searches) that lead to an uncaught exception "Folder not found".
Probably you should exlude theses smart folder when you build the folders list.

EDIT - june 2015 : does not work anymore with TB 38.0.1 : throws NS_ERROR_NOT_AVAILABLE: Component returned failure code: 0x80040111 (NS_ERROR_NOT_AVAILABLE) [nsITaskbarOverlayIconController.setOverlayIcon]
I was waiting for this badge for years !
Only one remark and a suggestion for improvement :
- among the exclusion masks, you should add virtual (search) folders : because these folders contain messages that already are in other folders
- the new badge design in version 1.1 is really great, but do you think it would be possible to import a custom picture ?

Breaks the status bar in TB 24 : total and unread counts are now at the left, no more informations about activity in status bar. Lightning's "today" button has disappeared.
Otherwise, event extraction does not work very well in french.
