I have always been fascinated with programming and have slowly been learning a few computer languages over the years. For the most part I just find things that I want done and I figure out how to do them. I have a few addons on here that I have been maintaining. I currently take care of my daughter as a single parent and struggle with a severe lack of money on a day to day basis. Every dollar I receive for the work that I have done and plan to do in the future is very greatly cherished.

Prefetching has been broken since 3.0 and nobody has of yet fixed the code that would allow it to work. I guess many web hosts may rejoice now. :P
I have uploaded a repaired version without Prefetching called Fasterfox Lite:

No one has fixed Enhanced prefetching in this addon so far. All anyone who say they have fixed this addon so far have done is edit the version info in the install.rdf file so that it would install in Firefox 3.5. They don't fix the prefetching or any of the other broken configurations, not to mention the possible variable conflicts that have not been resolved in this addon that I pointed out a very long time ago. In fact as it is Fasterfox Lite will do much more then those proclaimed fixed addons will. https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/9148

The prefetching in this addon does not work. I tested this addon to see how well the prefetching worked. I tested it using this web sight: http://www.angelfire.com/planet/nuclearflower/highres01_jpg.htm I did not see any prefetching of any of the images during my tests. I believe prefetching is broken in this addon, and other settings are also broken in this addon. I have uploaded a version with the settings fixed and the prefetching removed called Fasterfox Lite: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/9148

This addon will not be compatible with the next version of Firefox. I am hoping that the current developer has plans on updating it. Also please add this sight as the home page in the install.rdf file like I did with it here as an example: http://myfreefilehosting.com/f/234bcf6c9a_0.1MB

Try Fasterfox Lite. The "Lite" does not mean less performance, it is only a reference to the removal of the obtrusive prefetching ability.

I am having only one minor problem. The Page Load Timer in the Statusbar will not display the Load timer. It only shows "Fasterfox". Could you work on this please?"

I figured out the issue with the page load timer. It does not seam to play well with the "Distrust" addon for some reason.

For some reason I am still getting the Load Timer displayed every time I start the browser even though I have it disabled in the settings, and it does not seam to time anything for me when I do enable it. Sort of annoying to me.

The homepage should be https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/9037 with the language marker removed, since this is a multilingual addon. That is unless you are planning on removing the additional language support from the addon.

The page load timer no longer works and it will always show the timer when I start firefox even though I have the timer disabled in the settings.
